Kia has introduced the facelifted Sonet in India, featuring styling enhancements, added features, enhanced safety measures, and more. The release of the updated Kia Sonet in India is slated for the first quarter of the 2024 calendar year.
The Sonet will be offered in three trims: Tech Line, GT Line, and X-Line, further subdivided into seven trims: HTE, HTK, HTK+, HTX, HTX+, GTX, and X-Line.
Noteworthy upgrades for the 2024 Sonet include a redesigned front fascia with inverted L-shaped LED DRLs, newly styled LED headlamps, updated LED fog lamps, and a rear light bar spanning the length of the tailgate. Inside the cabin, the Sonet facelift encompasses a new digital instrument cluster, a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment display, Level 1 ADAS suite, a redesigned air-conditioning panel, voice-controlled window functionality, and ventilated front seats.
The Sonet facelift retains its three-engine options: an 83hp, 1.2-litre, four-cylinder petrol engine with a 5-speed manual gearbox; a 120hp, 1.0-litre, three-cylinder turbo-petrol engine; and a 116hp, 1.5-litre, four-cylinder diesel engine. Transmission choices include a five-speed manual, six-speed manual, six-speed iMT, six-speed automatic, and a seven-speed DCT gearbox.
The Kia Sonet facelift continues to compete with models such as the Tata Nexon, Hyundai Venue, Suzuki Brezza, Nissan Magnite, Renault Kiger, and Mahindra XUV 300.
